As told Oleg Борилко, head of the expedition, from 2 to 30 April was performed 89 stations and processed 1780 traps in the Barents sea North of the Golden Cape to Cape Rotary. In catches included all of the main species of crab, only five of them: Kamchatka, blue, hairy quadrangular, prickly and crab snow crab. In the Central and Northern areas of the Northern Primorye were most large concentrations of the Kamchatka crab. Maximum catches on the force field males reached 31 copies/Liv, the average indicator of 054 copies/Liv. The share of commercial males in catches was 59%. The main area of distribution of blue crab were Northern and Central regions of Northern Primorye. As in previous years, the blue crab catches was presented slightly, the share of commercial males in catches was 74%, maximum catches on the force reached 285 copies/Liv., the average area of research - 054 copies/Liv. Crab snow crab celebrated everywhere in a wide range of depths (from 25 to 189 m), being the most popular among offshore crabs. The share of commercial males in catches reached 85% in average for the survey area catches at 611 copies/Liv., with maximum catches reached 394 copies/Liv. High catches of commercial male hairy crab traditionally occurred in the southern and Central regions of Northern Primorye, their average yield on the area made 337 copies/Liv., maximum catches the effort 1254 copies/Liv. reached 1254 copies/Liv. The results of these studies suggest the presence of favorable commercial species of crabs in Northern Primorye. And although the growth in the population of the Kamchatka crab stopped, snow crab slowed, existing reserves allow to conduct successful and cost-effective fishing in the recommended amounts.
