Police checked 383 drivers of motorcycles and mopeds. Administrative proceedings for violation of traffic rules brought 224 motorcyclists. According to statistics, in the first half of 2013 on the edge of the road registered 1689 accident, which is 12.4% less than last year. The number of accidents caused by drivers who were intoxicated, increased by 276%. With the onset of summer every fourth accident occurs involving motorcycles. The causes of accidents with motorcycles and mopeds are a violation of traffic rules by drivers, in particular: the detour of traffic on the median strip, sidewalks, exceeding the speed limit, the absence of the protective ammunition. Often motorcyclists driving a vehicle without the proper documents. Traffic police conducted raids activities designed to prevent and detect violations of traffic regulations. Particular attention is paid to the inspectors DPS drivers of mopeds and motorcycles. As a result, two raids of the day brought to justice 150 drivers who drive under the influence of alcohol. Police checked 97 motorcyclists, including administrative responsibility for violation of traffic rules involved 34 driver. Tested were 286 moped, 190 prosecuted for traffic violations.
