Youth Forum under the auspices of ESCAP Subregional Office for the UN in East and North-East Asia was held this week at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. Youth Forum gathered in Palo more than 30 students from China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Russia, who presented their youth environmental, political, social organizations, political parties and federations. The forum was attended by four students Palo Vladimir and Anna Tananykin Murzakova - from the "Model United Nations in the Far East," Nikita Tyzhnenko and Sergey Shishmakov - from the United Student Council Palo.
Within two days, August 20-21 the forum was held in three sections: "Water", "Sustainable urban development and the environment" and "Education and Sustainable Development." Discussion of actual problems and their solutions within the framework of the delegates were round tables with the participation of invited experts from ESCAP and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The project is to involve young people in politics for three years implemented the ESCAP Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia. The final document of the youth forum in Palo summed up this three-year project. The result of the delegates of the subregions of Asia was the "road map" of the solution of the existing economic, social and environmental problems, which in the future will be implemented with the support of UNESCAP.
