The majority of Russians support the return of the title "Hero of Labour"
All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) presents data on how many Russians approve of the return to Russia the title of "Hero of Labour" and who, in their opinion, is worthy of this award today.
More and more Russians support the establishment of a Russian award "Hero of Labour" (from 67% in September 2012 to 81% in April). Supporters of the measure most among the adherents of the "Fair Russia" (90%), elderly (84%) and rural residents (84%). Only 11% are against this innovation - first of all supporters of non-parliamentary parties (27%).
Previously, many Russians had no idea who deserves this award today (45%), today there is much less (26%). The main contenders for the title of "Hero of Labour", according to the Russians, should be the ones who made a great contribution to the development of the industry (27% in September - 10%). In second place - people who have work experience (17% vs. 11% in September). It is also proposed to award the award to state employees (9%), the common people - the working classes (4%). 2% consider it necessary to award the prominent political leaders, working pensioners, agricultural workers, emergency workers, firefighters and rescue workers, and people working in extreme conditions (2%). To 1% of the respondents are in favor of encouraging the military, artists, mothers of large families.
