In Primorye, Federal Drug Control Service officer was sentenced for bribery and possession of ammunition

Artyom City Court sentenced a former employee of Federal Drug Control Service, convicted of fraud, abuse of office (Part 3. 159 of the Criminal Code) and for the illegal actions in the turnover of ammunition (Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code).

As stated at the hearing, being a senior detective Artyom MPO UFSKN Russia for the Primorye Territory, the man has misled a local about their ability to assist him and patronage in the marketing of smoking mixtures. Referring to his position, he promised to help in removing the last competition and prevention of operational and search activities. For the promise he was given 90 thousand rubles.

Later, when calling to become a citizen of a defendant in a criminal case on the fact of attempted sale of narcotics, Federal Drug Control Service Officer misled relative of the detainee, pledging $ 700 thousand to help free the latter from criminal liability.

In September 2012 he was given the part of the funds in the amount of 300 thousand rubles, after which he was detained by the police.

Besides, the man has illegally acquired and stored ammunition (a few hundred rounds of rifled weapons) found and seized during the search at his residence.

While agreeing with the opinion of the public prosecution, the court found the defendant guilty of these crimes. As the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Primorsky Krai, for what he did Polyagin sentenced to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment with a fine of 10 thousand rubles, to be served in a penal colony.
