From 21 August to 1 September 2013 will be held in Vladivostok 8th Biennale of Visual Arts. This is a non-profit project created in 1998 to promote culture of the city and the region, the strengthening of international relations, support a variety of trends in contemporary art and engage in creative work as much as possible participants. This year, the projects represent 40 cultural workers from Russia, Japan, China, Korea, the USA, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, France. Subject 8th Biennial «Art is closer.» The organizers are planning to go beyond the usual exhibition halls. Many of the exposure and the installation will be placed on the open areas: waterfront Crown Prince, in the square of the twin cities, in the courtyards of the main streets. As part of the Biennale will be held an exhibition of photographs, paintings, art, new technologies, workshops, lectures, panel discussions, theater, painting, urban facilities and much more.
