18 June, in the gallery «ARKA» exhibition «Prize Pacifica (USA — Russia), organized by the far Eastern state Academy of arts, Institute of public diplomacy «Track II» (San Francisco, California) and the Institute Эсален (big sur, California. «The prize Pacifica» was established in the field of art in order to strengthen the relationship between the two cities on different sides of the Pacific, San Francisco and Vladivostok. The exhibition presents the work of four artists: Olga Bulgakova, Darya Bonet (Vladivostok), Sarah Hotchkiss and Римы Гхулум (San Francisco). Exhibition hall is divided into two parts: the left pictures hung Vladivostok artists, in the right — American, and the middle — the joint work of artists, consisting of four paintings by the four of us. Girls-artist spent a month at the Institute of Эсален in California, where worked together and communicated. — We are very grateful to all those who made this project successful, because we, the artists, have provided the «hothouse» conditions, where we were free to do — remember participating in the project. — The project was screened in San Francisco in February of this year, — said at the presentation of the art-Director of the gallery «ARKA» Yulia Klimko. — Exhibition demonstrates how artists on different sides of the ocean looking at art. Of course, this is a different view, but they have in common. According to the President of the Fund «Track II» Dalsey Murphy, the Fund has more than 30 years cooperates with the countries of the former USSR, but have never worked with the Far East, and it was the first experience. «We have agreed on cooperation, and the mission of this exhibition is to bring together the Russian far East and the far East of America,» the organizer said.
