The largest collection of 130 traditional fans of the peoples of Eurasia XIX-XX centuries, will see the inhabitants of Vladivostok. Collection complement the fan from Afghanistan, Iran, China, Korea and Japan. A large part of the collections of the fans acquired on expeditions, singular objects or groups of fans received as gifts or received via the procurement Commission of the Museum from private parties. In 1919 the Chinese fans from the collection of Dr. Shchusev (Petrograd) were transferred to the Museum Commissariat of trade and industry and in 1921 a group of luxury Chinese fans came from the Museum of art (Petrograd). Dozens of fans enriched the collection of the Museum of Ethnography in 1948 after the dissolution of the Museum of the peoples of the USSR (Moscow).
