Team Sweden won the Ice Hockey World

Team Sweden won the world hockey championship. In the final, which was held in Stockholm, the Swedes 5-1 team beat Switzerland.

The Swedes became world champions for the ninth time in history and for the first time since 2006. The Swiss second time in history won the silver medal.
