The Federation Council will launch a parliamentary Internet TV in the autumn of 2013. On it informs «Interfax» referring to House Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.
«For the first time in the history of Parliament we are launching a 24-hour online channel. Primary goal of this channel — to create a single regional information space», — Said Matvienko.
The speaker believes that, despite the huge number of TV channels, regional channels in the information map of the country are virtually absent.
«We regions show only when the murders when someone is arrested. Actually regions live a different life, develop and successfully running a business» — She said.
According to Matvienko, the new channel will be regularly broadcast the news of regions, but they will be «positive.»
Presentation of the new channel will take place at the plenary session of the upper house on April 27.
