Prokhorov: the Far East do not want offshore, and a free economic zone with Japan
Leader of the "Civic Platform" Mikhail Prokhorov believes that in the Far East should not create offshore, and with Japan a free economic zone. This he wrote on his page on Facebook.
"In today's world there is a constant battle system with offshore companies for the transparency of the tax base in each country. Nevertheless, there are times when, for some reason, you need a breakthrough in the development of a particular area, in combination with external factors - in such cases it makes sense to talk about creating not offshoring and free trade zones. And not in the style of the endless chatter "on", and to do systematic, deliberate project, involving partners in advance. Speaking about the development strategy of the Far East, I believe, is a strategic partner of Russia, not China (which our competitor), and Japan " - Said Prokhorov.
"But between the two countries is the problem of Kuril Islands and unsigned peace treaty to end World War II. As a compromise, it would be wise to agree on the establishment of the Kuril Islands to Japan free trade zone and sign a peace treaty. Russia could get access to 17 trillion investment resources lying dormant in Japanese banks under the "minus" 2%. Such real partnership, we could work out a global market mechanisms and models. and use them in effect in other parts of our country, " - He added.
