Beijing is preparing to meet Submariner Day

Tuesday, March 19 in all the units of the Pacific Fleet sailors held celebrations to mark the Day of Submariner Russia.

By tradition, they will begin at 8:00 am with the ceremonial raising of flags colorization ship and submarine-building personal submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet, which will be given to honor the heroic members of the profession.

At 12:00 the main base of the Pacific Fleet — Vladivostok, at the memorial «Battle Glory of the Pacific Fleet,» will lay a wreath at the Eternal Flame.

After the ceremony at the Eternal Flame gathered to commemorate a minute of silence. Also, wreaths will be laid at the monument to the «Pioneer of the submarine fleet.»

Recall that the history of the Russian submarine force originates from the Pacific Ocean. The first Russian submarines appeared in the Golden Horn Bay on the eve of the Russian-Japanese War.
