A fire at a nuclear submarine «Tomsk», located in the repair plant in the Far East «Star», is completely extinguished.
Reportedly, the fire was liquidated at 16:30 local time. Both reactors main propulsion system and plugged in a safe condition. Ammunition on the boat is missing. No injuries were reported.
Fire rubber insulation and old paint occurred during welding work inside the main ballast tanks. This resulted willfully mezhkorpusnogo of space.
In connection with the incident at FEP «Star» was a commission to ascertain the cause of the fire, headed by Vice-President of JSC «United Shipbuilding Corporation» Sergei Forafonovym. According to preliminary reports, the fire occurred as a result of violations of safety during hot work.
