"Sovcomflot" agreed to enter into a consortium of "Rosneft" and Gazprombank, which will build a shipyard "Zvezda" in the Primorye Territory. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Gazprom" Valery Golubev. "Sovcomflot" specializes in the transportation of crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas. According to Golubev, the organization agreed to participate in the consortium "from the point of view of the organization of financing of this complex." Earlier, on September 10 the newspaper "Kommersant", citing unnamed sources wrote that the consortium of "Rosneft" in addition to the shipyard and Gazprombank "Star" will receive from the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), almost all shipbuilding and ship repair yards in the Far East. After that, "Rosneft" and Gazprombank will not only produce shelf technology, but also to build and repair warships in the state defense order. Now "Star" belongs to the Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding, which is a subsidiary of OSK. The shipyard will build ships and offshore equipment for the "Rosneft" and "Gazprom". The very "Star" is to be built by 2018 but potential customers are dissatisfied with the slow pace of construction work.
