From 6 to 13 September, the International Film Festival of Asian Pacific Countries «Pacific Meridian» in Vladivostok photo exhibition will be held internationally renowned German photographer Thorsten Milze — «The Polar World.»
A unique exhibition will be held in Vladivostok
For a few days the second floor of the cinema «Ocean» will plunge into the wonderful world of the Arctic and the Antarctic. The organizer of the exhibition were made by Russia and GEO GEO International.
At the photo exhibition «Polar World» will feature 25 photographs. This is the result of years of work Torsten Milze, which in extreme conditions shooting landscapes and inhabitants of the polar world. Sometimes in order to make a unique picture of a wild animal, he had to carry out in the snow for more than 5 hours.
Emperor penguins in the Arctic, polar bears in the foggy Antarctic seals and seal of the silent ice and many more pictures immerse the viewer in the pristine beauty of the untouched corners of the Earth.
The photo exhibition will serve as a visual complement to the films of the series «The current scientific Cinema» Film Festival «Pacific Meridian». One of the presented films «Escaping the ice» just tells about the changes happening to the glaciers. According to Torsten Milze, polar ice — not a lifeless desert, but rather a place where people have not had time to scare away all living things.
The official opening will take place on September 11 at 1100 am on the second floor of the cinema «Ocean» with the participation of the chief editor of GEO Vladimir Esipova — VestiRegion.ru coordinator informs the exhibition «Polar World» Vyacheslav Mercury.
