As part of an ambitious program to provide assistance to the victims, "RusHydro" transferred to the Ministry of Emergency Situations special facilities and equipment to carry out operations for the evacuation of the population in the affected areas. To transport people from the flooded towns hydropower purchased 1000 life jackets, 20 inflatable boats and 20 engines for them. Flooding in 2013 was the strongest in the last 120 years. At this point, according to experts, the Zeya hydro power plant and Bureyskaya kept in their own reservoirs more than 65% of inflow, severely reducing the likely impact of the settlements located downstream rivers.
