Prosecutor's Office of the Primorsky Territory analyzed the state of corruption-related crimes in the region - reported by the press service of the Ministry. Generalization showed that the adopted measures prosecutors edge coordinating nature helped increase the number of identified certain law enforcement corruption-related crimes, the number of reported crimes in this category adult compared with the same period last year, from 161 to 204. The increase in the total number of detected corruption mainly provided through the established 105 fraud, misappropriation and embezzlement committed in an official capacity, compared to 56 crimes in the same period of 2012. In 2013 in the Maritime region revealed 49 facts (45 in the same period of last year) of the most socially dangerous manifestations of corruption in the form of bribery. Also during this period the law enforcement agencies identified 5 cases of mediation in bribery and 11 cases of abuse of authority of selfish interest. The largest number of corruption-related crimes in the past period of 2013 revealed in Pervorechenskij district of Vladivostok city Arsenyev, Artem, Ussuriisk and Terneysky district. In the criminal liability for corruption offenses involved 85 persons, 16 of them officials of state power and local self-government, one member elected body of local self-government. For bribery criminal charges were brought against 14 persons for bribery - 20. Among the 12 law enforcement officials prosecuted for corruption crimes, 6 police officers. In each case, the third of the number of law enforcement officers to criminal charges brought against officers of bailiffs. At present, the production of law enforcement is the edge 54 criminal cases of corruption. According to the investigation in the intervening period 2013 to the courts directed edge 79 criminal cases. The courts decided edge 50 convictions. Acquittals in criminal cases involving crimes of the analyzed categories do not take away. Thus, despite some positive trends in identifying corruption, results of operations to detect and deter crimes in this category do not meet the actual level of crime and need to be improved. In this regard, prosecutors region will continue to take additional steps to strengthen oversight of operational and investigative activities to detect and prevent corruption.
