Reference: Sigalit Landau /Sigalit Landau (born in Jerusalem in 1969 lives and works in Tel Aviv) — one of the biggest artists in Israel, a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Art and Design Bezalel (1995). Works in various media (drawing, sculpture, video and performance), investigating a number of social, humanitarian and environmental issues, in particular, the subject of the homeless, the outcasts, the relationship between the victim and the executioner, the process of death, decay and growth. Sigalit Landau twice represented Israel at the Venice Biennale (in 1997 and 2011), her work has been shown in major museums around the world: New York\’s MoMA (solo[проект 87], 2008), the Berlin Institute of Media Arts KW (Exhibition of a woman», 2007 ) and Paris\’ Pompidou viewing trip Mirela — here a video and installation Sigalit Landau, along with the works of Eva Hesse, Louis Bourgeois and Marina Abramovic, were represented in the project «Women in Art» in 2010.
