Today in Parliament Primorye deputies in three readings adopted amendments to the «On Physical Culture and Sports», according to which the student-athletes gave good results at the Universiade in Kazan will receive prize payouts.
Student winners will receive a «reward» payments
Earlier, the Legislative Assembly approved the amendments to the law on bonus payments, but they come into force on 19 July 2013. Thus, coastal athletes who won medals at the 2013 Universiade in Kazan, could not qualify for them. The initiative to correct this omission was made by Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky.
The law provides for the payment of prize money to athletes who perform in the national team of the Primorsky Territory, as well as live in the province for at least three years. Thus, the prize payouts on the basis of the Universiade will rower Shtyl Ivan, who took two gold medals and Ilgizar SAFIULLIN, who took first place in the women\’s 3000-meter steeplechase.
