The Governor of the Primorsky Territory Vladimir Miklushevsky July 24 met with the president of the holding company «Siberian Business Union» by Michael Fedyaeva.
The new port will be built in Primorye
The parties signed a cooperation agreement for the project of construction of a new specialized port in the Primorye Territory, the press office of the governor of Primorsky Krai.
Marine coal terminal with a capacity of 20 million tons will be located in the area Shkotovsky region — in the Bay of Dry Valley.
Vladimir Miklushevsky stressed that this project is very important for the development of Primorsky Krai. It will facilitate access to port infrastructure to small and medium-sized coal enterprises.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2014. The project will create an additional 700 jobs. For the employees of the port in the village Romanivka company plans to build a 100-apartment house. The company also will provide financial support for the renovation of the local schools and roads to the village.
Chapter Shkotovsky District Viktor Mikhailov said that the implementation of the project for the construction of the plant was made possible by the transfer to the municipality 753 hectares of the Ministry of Defence.
Vladimir Miklushevsky stressed that the transfer of unused lands to the edge of the Russian Ministry of Defence gives a big boost to the areas of the province. The governor also proposed to hold a hearing at a meeting of the port project advisory council on public investment.
