According to the order «On approval of warnings about the dangers of smoking, accompanied by drawings,» from June 12 in Russia is prohibited to print a pack of cigarettes the old design — without pictures. Now the photos with the hypothetical consequences of smoking occupy at least half the space of the pack. This practice has long been in place in many countries around the world, along with other anti-tobacco laws. According to the chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko, the appearance on cigarette packs frightening images will have significant preventive effect.
