Universiade in Kazan ended, the athletes of Maritime worthily represent our region at the international event. Students from the Maritime received nine gold medals, one silver and a bronze.

Organizers also noted the work of the Universiade volunteers seaside — they are recognized as the best in their facilities. In the Universiade took part and another one of our famous countryman Ilya Lagutenko.
The result of the competition for Maritime Steel 11 medals our athletes won nine gold medals, one silver and a bronze.
«Gold»: Ilgizar SAFIULLIN — in the race at 3000 meters steeplechase, Catherine Konev — in the triple jump, Victoria Andreeva — three medals in swimming, Ivan Shtyl — two medals in rowing, John Kostenko — Sambo, Vladimir Ivanov — in doubles badminton.
«Silver» — the swimmer Victoria Andreeva. «Bronze» — also from Vladimir Ivanov paired with an athlete from Moscow.
One element of the show was a grand flash mob, organized by the volunteers of the Universiade. The whole stadium sorokapyatitysyachny performed a dance to the song «The Man Live! »
Officially declared the Games closed-President of the International University Sports Federation, Claude-Louis Gallien. FISU flag was handed over to representatives of the organizing committee of the Summer Universiade to be held in the city of Gwangju yuzhnoreyskom in 2015.
