According to the department in the provincial department of physical education and sports, chess players to participate in three tournaments. From 18 to July 20 tournament will be held «Pacific Meridian» — a stage Rapid Grand Prix of Russia in 2013 — the Cup of Russia in rapid chess. Presumably, will participate about 100 people.
From 21 to 29 July — Tournament «Seaside debut.» At this stage, the Cup will compete about 100 men.
In the same period the tournament, «Russian Island» — this is the stage in classical chess among boys and girls aged 9 to 15 years. It will be attended by 50 people.
At tournaments chess festival will arrive 12 grandmasters Russia, as well as the near and far abroad. Among them will be representatives of Spain, Greece, Ukraine. The participation has already reported the strongest chess players of Sakhalin, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk Territory, the Amur region. The festival will help to identify candidates for the final of the Cup of Russia in 2013.
In the event GMs will meet with the parents and coaches of young participants.
