In the pastThe weekend ended with an open ninth Chess Festival «City by the Sea», which was held at one of the lodges Primorye 3 to July 12. The participation of more than 100 players took the Far East and other regions of Russia. Standings separated the participants into 4 categories. Category «B» and «C» were the youngest participants. In the tournament, «A2» allowed more skilled athletes. The only restriction which was that the category is not allowed to participate with a rating of 2200 or higher. For them, the tournament was organized by the «A1», which represented the elite chess. In the beginning of the race tournament «A2» immediately grabbed the lead Chuhachev Vladimir, a student of Vladivostok. Vladimir Chuhachev scored 7.5 out of 9 but before the final round ahead of secured 1st place. For 2nd place in the final round of the fight has evolved in the party Efendiev Enver and Yegorov Zahar. Won by Efendiev from Blagoveshchensk. Third place went to the male Oleg Kalinin, who snatched victory in the final round at the Pac Vladimir. Private credit was conducted in women. The concept meeting in 7th round between the strongest chess players of the Far East Mikhailova Love and Victoria Chan, was won by the former. Mikhailov Love showed excellent results and not only that took the 1st place among the women, so more and 2nd place in the overall standings. Victoria Chan was second, and third place went to Ekaterina Kiseleva. In the most prestigious tournament in the «A1» became a sensation Yuri Liang. Being only in sixth position starting list, to him during the tournament managed to beat a number of big-name international artists who were content with the subsequent lines in the standings and finish the tournament with a score of 7.5 points out of 9. Vitaly Bachin from Artem came second. Nicholas Kornyushin from Vladivostok, who recently returned from the Russian championship, was third. Great tension just ended the tournament and its impact on the result. It\’s worth noting that in this category took part and the female Alexander Zherebtsova, she scored 2.5 points, but showed a decent game for men.
