According to the Academic Board, Deputy General Director Alexei Baytalyuk, these proposals were set out in the minutes of the meeting of the Council for Fisheries Sector Development at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. The proposed changes concerned the organization of recreational and sport fisheries, fisheries management, implemented by the indigenous peoples, differentiated monthly output norms pollock and other add-ons. Members of the Academic Council agreed that before the law, «» On the recreational fisheries, «» any changes to the Terms of fishing on these questions are premature. Some of the proposals of indigenous peoples regarding the technical implementation of fisheries resources in specific bodies of water have been approved, while others require more work, so as not to conflict with the principle of the conservation of marine biological resources. Alexei Baytalyuk noted that it is advisable to avoid the repetition of the Rules of existing fishing regulations, so some were rejected. Important enough, according to scientists, was making clarifications and amendments to Annex 1 of the draft Rules of fishing «Areas harvest (catch) fishing zone (subzone) of the Russian Federation in the Far East Basin fisheries.» In particular, the inclusion of Shelikof Bay in the North Okhotsk subarea will help to avoid conflict with the control structures of precedents that took place last year.
