July 9th chapter Minvostokrazvitiya Russia Viktor Ishayev met with representatives of the authorities of the Republic of Korea and took part in the 13th session of the Russian-Korean joint commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation. It will be recalled that on July 3-4 was held in Vladivostok Russian-Korean Economic Forum, which brought together more than 150 entrepreneurs from South Korea. On the Russian side, in addition to business, the forum was attended by representatives of the executive power. Among the ideas voiced forum closest to implementation is the construction by South Korean companies to speed railway "Khabarovsk-Vladivostok". During the meeting, Viktor Ishayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Yoon Se Ben touched on the implementation of projects of trilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea and the DPRK. After that Viktor Ishayev headed the Russian delegation went to a meeting of the Russian-Korean Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, where he is chairman of the Russian part. The Korean delegation headed by the chairman of the joint committee of Korean Hyun Oh Juice, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, the Minister of Planning and Finance. The delegations of the two countries, consisting of representatives of the ministries and departments, and exchanged views on the directions of bilateral economic cooperation in trade, energy and natural resources, engineering, construction, space, science and technology, agriculture and fishing. "A new feature in the work of the intergovernmental commission was the fact that South Korea has come to power, the new government takes a new approach to solving many problems, a new impetus. Therefore, I believe that the process of cooperation between our countries will give additional impetus, "- said the head of the Russian delegation. Viktor Ishayev noted that the markets and the major players - Europe, China, America does not feel so good, and in this connection Russia should deepen their cooperation with the Republic of Korea. The growth of trade with South Korea this year is marked, according to him, at 14 percent. The fact that in the past year fell by only 0.2 per cent - it's completely insignificant value, - said Viktor Ishayev. He also noted the high level of interest in South Korea to the 13th meeting of the intergovernmental commission and said that the trade volume reached an all-time according to Russian estimates of the volume of 25 billion dollars, and the amount of accumulated investments totaled $ 2.5 billion. "We support the efforts of the leaders of the Republic of Korea to establish and stabilize the situation on the Korean peninsula, I am referring to relations with the DPRK. Together, we can make progress here, and Russia is ready to participate, both in economic and in political affairs and in the discussion of issues, "- said the head of the Russian Minvostokrazvitiya.
