In order to preserve the cultural heritage of guaranteeing the constitutional rights of everyone to have access to cultural values, as well as through the development of cultural tourism and economic relations in the Asia-Pacific region, forming the image of Vladivostok as a center of culture of the Russian Primorsky Territory Administration requested the Vice-President Government of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets to consider the possibility of opening in Vladivostok branch of the State Hermitage Museum. As described in the Department of Culture of the Primorsky Territory, Vladivostok is located in the center of a cultural heritage «Administration Building Trade House» Kunst and Albers, «which is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. The building, which may open a branch of the Hermitage, built in 1903 and designed by renowned architect V.A.Plansona Vladivostok in the style of «modern romantic» — until now retained its luxurious interiors. We note an important element of the innovative concept of the State Hermitage, dubbed «The Great Hermitage» is to create a system of satellite centers in the Russian Federation, by analogy with already existing centers in Kazan and Vyborg. During the development of the issue management of the State Hermitage Museum has confirmed the readiness to continue to establish centers in major cities of Russia: Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Vladivostok for exhibitions, without moving funds on an ongoing basis. Recall that in June the governor of Primorye met with the Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, during the meeting the director of the museum has confirmed interest in opening a branch of «Hermitage» in Vladivostok. During July, the working group is expected to arrive in Vladivostok to discuss and prepare a joint plan of action for the establishment in the center of Primorsky Krai satellite Hermitage.
