A monument to the poet and actor Vladimir Vysotsky — a long-standing dream of Igor Pushkarev. Almost two years head of Vladivostok carefully chosen among the many designs offered by sculptors, «his» Vysotsky. The best option in his view offered 28-year-old sculptor Peter Chegodaev. Interestingly, the monument — the music, the artist and the song will be heard around the clock and throughout the year. Note that the sculpture is created by the personal funds of Igor Pushkarev, and other people for the work of the artist. Therefore, the monument is a gift to the city. Recall that in 2010 on the personal initiative of the head of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev was organized by the extensive work on the restoration and conservation of monuments. The mayor insisted that the city government should take responsibility for the monuments, memorials and graves in the seaside capital. At that time there were only 3 of the monument to the city property. Now — about 50. «Unfortunately, all the other memorials of the former administration were not needed, I was surprised to learn that they have abandoned, and, of course, no one ever is budgeted money for their restoration and preservation — said today on Radio VBC head of the seaside capital Igor Pushkarev. — This casual attitude to the memory — is unacceptable. We fix this situation, already taken to the balance of the city and took the responsibility of about 50 monuments, restored and renovated four dozen obektovkulturnogo heritage. » Thanks to the active position of the mayor, many of the objects of cultural heritage in Vladivostok were restored for the first time since the foundation, even though by law they had to straighten out every 5 years. In addition, the head of the city set out to not only maintain but also to fill up the cultural heritage of Vladivostok. So in 2012 in the seaside capital were installed three new monuments: Ilya Muromets, Nicholas Muravevu-Amur and Yulu Brynner. In January 2013 in the heart of the city installed a new sculpture — a sailor in flared jeans. Next in line memorial Katyusha, and in the near future and one of the greatest poets and artists — Vladimir Vysotsky. «I like his poems and songs, like millions of other people. Creativity Vysotsky — our common heritage, so sure of his sculpture in Vladivostok will appeal to all people, «- said Igor Pushkarev.
