Department of hunting supervision of Primorsky Krai and the Department of Forest Industry of Heilongjiang Province signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of conservation of the Amur tiger and Amur leopard.

The signing of the Memorandum of cross-border cooperation in the conservation of the Amur tiger and leopard, as well as their habitat was the result of an international meeting, which took place on June 22 in Harbin, with the assistance of WWF Russia and WWF China.
The heads of regional environmental agencies of Russia and China have agreed on joint research, taking into account the number of Amur tigers and Far Eastern leopards and their prey, establishing an information exchange, as well as the strengthening of anti-poaching activities on both sides of the Russian-Chinese border — the press-secretary of the Amur branch of WWF Russia Elena Starostin.
