According to preliminary data Brigade «black» loggers, which included not only the locals but also the citizens of the People\’s Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia, illegally cut down valuable timber species in the three districts of Primorye.
According to Eugene Kuzhel, employees of the Main Department of the Interior of Russia in DFO, together with representatives of the territorial divisions of the Department of Forestry, the Russian Interior Ministry and Federal Security Service of Russia Primorsky Krai, was a large-scale operation to decriminalize the timber industry. Its result was the documentation and control of transnational organized crime group involved in illegal felling and harvesting ash, oak and other valuable trees in Chuguevsky, Kirov and Dalnerechensk districts of Primorye.
According to investigators, the active members of the group carefully planned their actions, using radio communications, counter-surveillance techniques and different methods of conspiracy. In the group were clearly the roles and responsibilities: The organizers of the screen all who directed teams and followed the discipline in sawmills, was responsible for the provision of equipment and manpower, provided security and was looking for suitable sites for new illegal logging.
During the searches were found and seized 12 units of special equipment, including tractors and cars with manipulators designed for timber loading, as well as the «arsenal» of chainsaws, nearly 2000 cubic meters of timber and trailers to transport it.
In addition, the «black» operatives seized 40 lumberjacks from automatic weapons and a large sum of money. According to preliminary data of the regional forestry department harm from criminal activity of the group is estimated in excess of 150 million rubles.

On the basis of documented members of the Main Department of materials and their colleagues will be taken remedial solutions. It is instituting a number of criminal cases on the grounds of an offense under Part 3 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code (illegal cutting of forest plantations, done on a large scale, organized group). It is possible that members of the group will have to answer for the organization of a criminal association or participation in it.
