In Vladivostok tomorrow, 19 June, opened the Second international youth festival of twin cities and towns, friendly capital of Primorye. It is organized by the administration of Vladivostok with the support and participation of the leading universities of the Primorsky territory. The festival has already received the informal name of «the Youth summit of the Asia-Pacific region». Its main objective is to strengthen relations between the cities of the Asia-Pacific region, the provision of youth from different countries more opportunities for communication and exchange of views, the deepening of mutual understanding between peers and broadening their Outlook. In the festival will participate, along with students and teachers of higher educational institutions of Vladivostok, the delegation of the universities of the cities of San Diego (USA), Akita, Hakodate, Tottori and Sakaiminato (Japan), Busan and Incheon (Republic of Korea), Ho Chi Minh city (Vietnam), Dalian, Shanghai, Xiamen, Mudanjiang and Yanbian Korean Autonomous region (PRC). Guests will grounds of far Eastern national University, the Maritime state University. MSU, far Eastern fishery University, Pacific state University of medicine and VSUES, where discussions on topics of concern to the youth of different countries. Let's remind, that the first festival was held in Vladivostok exactly one year ago, and was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the opening of the capital of Primorsky region for visiting by foreigners and the conclusion of the sister-city agreements with the cities of the Asia-Pacific region. He was a great success and attracted wide publicity in the participating cities. It is therefore absolutely logical decision to make such a festival annually. In the program of the Second festival - presentation of cities-participants of the conference on «Health», «City by the sea», «Fashion and design», «Youth life APR countries», world Cuisines, as well as round tables, photo contests, master-classes. In addition, foreign delegations will take part in cultural programs, sightseeing excursions around Vladivostok, will visit the all-Russian children's center «Ocean». Opening ceremony will be held on June 19 at 10 a.m. in the Assembly hall of administration of Vladivostok. 14 hours in the conference halls of five higher educational institutions of Vladivostok will begin the plenary part of the festival.
