Today on radio VBC held a meeting with a group of Billy\’s Band, the musicians from the romantic алкоджаза» from St. Petersburg. The air was present the correspondent VladNews, who managed to ask several questions to two representatives of the group — Billy Новику (vocals and bass) and Anton Матезиусу (Bayan). The musicians arrived at the Studio directly from Khabarovsk. According to the leader and founder of the band Billy Novick, musicians «quite relaxed» touring schedule, and voice — one of the reasons due to which the group is so loved by the fans, have time to recover. Naturally, the first question put to the leading radio was precisely about unusual style of singing Billy. In my case, it was so: we went with the guys on the street, and it so happened that on the street no one was microphones, no other sound-amplifying equipment, and voice chose such a manner of singing, — said the founder and lead vocalist Billy Novik. Musicians and shared interesting facts about choosing a name for the group: Billy Novik: I proposed to come up with a cool name for a band, but at that time no one was looking, and I said about how Steve jobs: «If no one will come up tomorrow I\’ll call the team the most stupid name — Billy\’s Band». From the very beginning, it was clear that the name of a failure, but after the first concert was already late to change anything. However, despite the «wrong»according to musicians, the name, the group recorded more than ten successful albums. The group\’s latest album — «When was the one» — was released in March of this year. The it team remained faithful to his style: in addition to men\’s confession, such as the title song from the album, «On the bottom of the Cup», here there is a kind of recognition in love — «Поваляемся», and a couple of experiments: song on the verses of Joseph Brodsky First fell into the abyss chair and a translation of the popular during the Second World War a German song «Lili Marlene».
