Director of the Institute of marine biology Feb RAS academician Andrey Adrianov scientific merit was awarded the State prize. Awards ceremony for outstanding achievements in science and technology, literature, art and humanitarian activities for 2012 took place in the St George hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. The award was presented by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. This award is the highest recognition of merits of Russian science and culture figures before the state and society. Annually awarded four state prize in science and technology and three in the area of literature and art. Traditionally, this occurs June 12 the Day of Russia. Andrey Adrianov and two of his colleagues were awarded for the cycle of fundamental work in the field of biological diversity, conservation and environmental security. The destiny of such scientists, researchers, ascetics of reference for the young generations who chose his profession science, - Vladimir Putin noted, presenting the awards. Note that the laureates of the State prize also receive remuneration in the amount of 5 million rubles, diploma, and Imperial miniature signs.
