Collected by the investigative agencies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Primorsky Territory court found sufficient evidence to convict Edgar Margaryan. He was found guilty of committing a crime under Art. 126 of the Criminal Code (kidnapping), Art. 163 of the Criminal Code (extortion).
Investigation and the court found that the May 82012 in Vladivostok on Meadow Street Margaryan with an unidentified person drove a car to the victim and threatened object resembling a gun demanded that he got into the car. Then the attackers took the victim to a deserted place near the street Rudnev and severely beat his wooden bat, requiring them to pass 300 thousand rubles. Attackers called relatives of the victim and threatened to kill kidnapped in the case of non-receipt of money. On the night of May 92012 after receiving relatives 200000 rubles Margaryan and his accomplice released the victim.
The court appointed Margaryan sentenced to 8 years imprisonment in a penal colony.
