Vladimir Miklushevsky proposed to establish on the basis of VDTs «Ocean» Science and Technology Centre for children from all over Russia. According to him, this will allow the youth to revive interest in the natural and engineering sciences.
The emergence of such a center in the Maritime region would be the best addition to developing the program to equip schools with modern rooms of physics and chemistry.
Every year in the «Ocean» come children of the 25 subjects of the Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts. Reconstruction of the camps will not take 9500 young Russians, and 17000 a year.
This year, the budget of the Primorsky Territory children\’s summer vacation will be spent almost 950 million rubles. This will break 188 thousand children, including during the summer health campaign — 154000.
