In Vladivostok, on the campus of Palo on the island opened Russian Maritime Week tourism and recreation and the 17th Pacific Rim International Tourism Exhibition.
Opened the event the guests of honor — the head of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev, vice-governor Sergei Sidorov, U.S. Consul General in Vladivostok Sylvia Reed Curran, the representatives of Palo, VSUES and others.
Their travel routes and services showcased dozens of companies from Russia, USA, China, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries. Particular attention is given to tourism opportunities Primorye and Vladivostok.
Welcoming all the participants of the exhibition, Mayor Igor Pushkarev said that although Beijing and the young by historical standards the city, with its rich history, unique potential for tourism development. The current mission of Vladivostok — to become a convenient platform for fruitful cooperation between Russia and the Asia-Pacific region. And the city has successfully begun to fulfill this role.
The Mayor wished all participants success of the exhibition, ensuring that Vladivostok is happy guests and is ready to actively develop the tourism sector as a priority.
