In Nakhodka all-Russian mass competitions in orienteering «Russian azimuth of 2013.» First came the distance of elementary school students.
«Russian azimuth» — is the most massive competition in the country orienteering. At the same time start the race was given in 70 cities in Russia.
The first participants of the competition were 800 students of junior classes. The start was given to the school district number 14 where the guys ran a race from one to three kilometers. With the help of a map and compass, first-graders were looking at eight areas, and fourth graders and 13 control points as soon as possible to get to the finish line. The route from point to point, each orienteer can choose at their discretion. At the finish, all participants received sweet prizes. «Before the competition took place in the city park, where a small area it was easier to go the distance. This year we decided to complicate the route. At the school number 14 checkpoints scattered over a large area,» — said the chief judge «Russian azimuth» in the Find, director of the municipal Houses of children and youth tourism Alexander MESHCHERYAKOV.
The winners received certificates and awarding attributes of Nakhodka and the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of Russia.
It is worth adding in Nakhodka part in orienteering competitions will take more than three thousand students and experienced athletes of all ages. May 17 at the school number 25 in their participants will be students from 5th to 11th grade. The culmination of the competition will be the mass sprint adult athletes in the Bay of Tunguska.
