Pupils two sister cities — Russia Nakhodka and Maizuru Japanese — are involved in the correspondence match meeting athletics. Competitions are held for the 50th time.
This year, the Russian side in the personal-team competition involved 230 students from 17 schools of Nakhodka. They will compete in the javelin and the nucleus, triple jump, long jump, running at a distance of 100 meters to five kilometers.
As the head of the department of physical education and sport administration finds Sergei Lysenko, competition will last for two days, protocols, with the best results for each type of track and field championships will be sent to Maizuru. Similar competition among Japanese schoolchildren will be held in late May, after which the Russian and Japanese protocols will compare and sum up the results.
Nakhodka and Maizuru relationship began in 1961 with the signing of the twinning of cities. Half a century of friendly relations between them widened, became traditional educational, cultural and sports exchanges of delegations, joint competitions, exhibitions and competitions.
