May 9 — holiday in which Sberbank has traditionally taken a special part. It is no secret that in the years of the Great Patriotic War, the savings banks are actively accepting donations from the public, which were built dozens of tanks and aircraft, which contributed to the speedy defeat of Nazi Germany. And now in the 172-year anniversary of Sberbank and 68th anniversary of the Great Victory hundreds of thousands of elderly citizens remain loyal to the bank and for many years served in it. Only in the Far East, more than half of these, including dozens of veterans — veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the home front.
In Khabarovsk, Victory Day veterans took part in the festive banquet held in the office of the Far Eastern Savings Bank «Pushkin». Visit veterans and home front workers started with a tour of the new flagship branch. Guests surprised scale and new technology office. Then the holiday dinner. The staff of the Far Eastern Savings Bank tried to give maximum attention to each guest. Eugene Titov, Chairman of Far East Bank «Sberbank of Russia» congratulated and thanked the defenders of the motherland for their courage and heroism in the harsh years of the war. «Your heroism and the incredible strength of spirit to this day an example for all of us,» — he said. Older guests gladly played an accordion war songs and danced. At the end of the veterans handed food packages, gifts and flowers.
In Vladivostok, Primorsky branch of Sberbank employees congratulated the victory of the oldest bank depositors. For decades these people have remained faithful to the bank and fill their checkbooks. Among them, the people who participated in the Great Patriotic War. The Deputy Governor of the Primorsky branch Alex Zarubin congratulations on the occasion of the oldest clients, presented flowers and gift baskets to veterans. Also congratulations from Sberbank, gifts and flowers took veterans to other cities of service — Ussuriisk, Nakhodka, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk and Bilohirsk.
