International Brass Band Festival will be held in Vladivostok from 17 to 19 May. At the festival venues will perform more than 10 bands from Vladivostok and other cities of Primorye, as well as from China.
The idea of holding a festival in Vladivostok brass bands arisen an ulterior motive — in the framework of «Vladivostok hospitable» on weekends in the summer and autumn of 2012 and during the holidays many urban parks in the city were small concerts, brass bands, which are always popular with residents and guests of Vladivostok. That\’s why the city administration decided to hold an international festival of brass bands. Idea was supported by the head of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev.
To participate in the festival invited as brass bands and other performing groups that will complement your art concerts at various venues in the city open. Yet the reign all three days of the festival will wind music, the sound of which touches the hearts of listeners of all ages.
Among the participants of the festival — the Governor\’s brass band, orchestra staff of the Pacific Fleet, the military band of the branch of the military training and research center of the Navy, jazz MSU. GI Nevel (Vladivostok), brass band Artyom urban district, a number of children\’s groups, brass band, Mudanjiang City, the orchestra of the city of Yanji (China) and others.
Brass and orchestral music during the festival will be performed at the central square of Vladivostok and in the Admiral\’s square, in the square of Sukhanov, sports and waterfront promenade Crown Prince, as well as in the park theater «Neptune» on the court and in the Bay area Quiet.
Perhaps one of the most beautiful events of the festival promises to be a parade of brass bands on the Ocean Avenue and a gala concert in the central square of Vladivostok on Saturday evening, May 18. A detailed program of the International Festival of Brass Band will be published separately.
