Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko said that among migratory birds dangerous H7N9 flu from China were found.
In the Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology Epidemiology «Vector» were taken samples from migratory birds in the Khabarovsk and Krasnoyarsk territories, as well as in the Irkutsk region.
«Analyses, thank God, show a negative result» — Said Onishchenko.
Onishchenko said that due to the spread of bird flu in China, the number of Russian tourists wishing to visit the country, has fallen sharply.
«According to data from Khabarovsk, the number of visitors has fallen sharply. People have responded to our warnings» — He said.
However, Russia\’s chief sanitary doctor warned that the risk of influenza in Russia remains.
