Today, the Consulate General of Japan in Vladivostok organized for fans of Japanese culture — including such popular amongyouth «branches» as the anime and manga — a real treat. On a small platform in the Underground Theatre in a festival BunkaSAI 2013 intertwined traditions and modern culture of Japan.
«Today\’s event is to bring the residents of Vladivostok Japanese culture. This is a manga, anime, calligraphy, a room of horrors and many more from the fact that there is in Japanese culture» — Said the vice-consul Murayama Tomonori — «Student Festival of Japanese culture has been held for the seventh time, but this year it takes place on a large scale the most.»
Vladivosktsam no strangers to take festivals dedicated to Japanese culture. Every year we hold the festival of Japanese cinema, anime-fest «Animate it!» (And before it was «mEASTeria»). However, such measures are mostly entertaining: members perform favorite «anime» of the song, there are fashion shows, with projectors spinning anime. Today, the concert — only the final part of a large festival.
His first part was devoted to Japanese tradition. For example, everyone could compete with the masters of the board game, and if someone does not know the rules — to be trained. Also the choice could take calligraphy lessons, learn the secrets of the masters of origami, paint the face akvagrimera, as well as a look into the future predictions in the shop. But still the most popular destination was the photo corner where came, changing clothes in the favorite characters from the anime («cosplay»), posed for photographers, and then walked down the hall and a pleasing appearance.
In addition, to come was the room of fear and Maid cafe. If the first room was almost impossible to get — the organizers did not expect such an influx — then the second did manage to get into. Maid cafes — places aimed at seasoned anime fans that are in their home country are called «otaku». The waitresses are dressed in costumes of the maids, and the situation is decorated to match the anime fans.
«Vladivostok is a very big interest is shown in the anime and manga, and it\’s very happy, but it was very much like to see the residents knew about it even more. In the future, we will carry out as many of these events, and it has become a tradition,» — Said Murayama Tomonori. Finally vice-consul said that he is a fan of anime, and his favorite TV series — «Evangelion», in homage to which he wears a tie of the beloved anime.
