A North Korean court sentenced on April 30 arrested earlier in this country of a U.S. citizen Bay Chung Ho /Kenneth Bay /to 15 years of labor re-education, Xinhua reported with reference to the Korean Central News Agency /KCNA /.
It is reported that the Bay Ho Chung was arrested last year after the entry into North Korea on a tourist visa. April 30 he brought to court and was sentenced to 15 years reeducation through labor for his crimes against the DPRK.
April 27 KCNA reported that North Korea has recently completed a preliminary review of the case related to the hostile activities of the DPRK U.S. citizen Bay Chung Ho, who was arrested in November 2012 in the North Korean city of Rason, where he entered on a tourist visa. During the preliminary examination, he admitted the allegations against him in the «hostility and attempts to destabilize the situation in the DPRK.»
As reported by the media of the Republic of Korea, Chung Ho Bay — South Korean American descent, he was involved in the tourism business and was arrested in November last year after the entry into the territory of the DPRK through a checkpoint in Nadzhin in the province of Hamgyong-Pukto.
