Young chess player from Vladivostok won three medals in the championship of Russia

Vladivostok chess player Kirill Shubin brilliantly addressed the Russian Chess Championship for boys in the age group under 11 years.

Tournaments were held from 15 to 27 April in Sochi in three disciplines: classical chess, rapid and blitz. In all disciplines young Cyril cashed.

«The main classical chess tournament was held for nine days, it Kirill never lost a party and with the result of 6 1/2 points out of 9 won a bronze medal,» — Deputy President Chess Federation Vladivostok Andrei Stepanov.

In the rapid chess tournament our countryman was in the lead until the last round, a disappointing defeat against Muscovite Dmitri Choi dropped him to second place. The result — a silver medal tournament.
