From 16 to 19 May Vladivostok will be the center of brass music — in the capital of Primorye in the framework of the administration of «Vladivostok hospitable» will host the International Brass Band Festival.
14 bands from different cities in the region and abroad will perform a concert for the residents and guests of Vladivostok in open areas in the admiral\’s square, squares, and the Theater of Sukhanov, sports and waterfront promenade Tsarevich.
And the main platform for decision of the organizers, will be the central city area. The festival, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the composer Tikhon Khrennikov, is intended to promote the preservation and development of wind music in Vladivostok, supporting traditional and new types of brass creativity, promote brass band music, the exchange of experience between the creative teams from different countries and cities, improving the professional skills musicians.
Recall that in the framework of the project «Vladivostok hospitable» on weekends in the summer and autumn of 2012 in the city squares were small concerts, brass bands «in the city park.» Concerts are popular with residents and visitors of Vladivostok, it has become one of the main reasons why the city administration decided to hold an international festival of brass bands.
