The State Duma adopted in the first reading amendments to the law on compulsory motor TPL, which provide for an increase in insurance premiums from 160 to 500 thousand rubles for compensation to the life and health of the victim, and from 120 to 400 thousand rubles for compensation for damage caused to the property, RIA "Novosti".
Also, this bill is offered in 2 times - up to 50 thousand rubles - to increase the maximum payment at registration of the accident without calling the traffic police (evroprotokol) and set a limit on payments evroprotokol to 400000 rubles for Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
Recall that during the debate in the first reading the draft law to increase the limits of insurance payments on CTP head of the Duma Committee on Financial Markets Natalia Burykina said that will prepare a set of amendments aimed at curbing the growth of tariffs on CTP.
Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said that the increase in payments under the contract of motor insurance (CTP) in the long term can lead to an increase in tariffs by 25%. He said that such an increase may occur no earlier than 15 months after the law came into force.
