Photo: Vladivostok3000 On Thursday in the capital of Primorye was an extraordinary meeting of the roundtable of youth organizations at the head of Vladivostok. Young activists together decide who deserves to go to the September election of the mayor of the city.
The meeting was opened by the Chairperson ACME Dolmatova Elena, who told the audience members that the city comes to an election campaign, and the right to appoint politicians on the election of a single intra-party candidate (the so-called "primary"), endowed with just social organizations. Before the council got a natural question: whether to support the candidacy of primaries before the incumbent Igor Pushkarev?
As indicated by the discussion, not all students are guided in the "pitfalls" of local politics - the effect of social work. It took a while to figure out what the primaries, what they need and how today's decision may affect the future of Vladivostok. But in the end everything fell into place.
The first took the floor Sergei Karepanov (seaside WHC):
- I've been doing social work in different chapters, but for the first time in my memory that NGO was able to influence the election before the election - to support or not to support the candidate in the primaries. What we see looking back at the three years of our "round table" with Pushkaryov? They were not in vain. If at the beginning we are all actively competing with each other, fighting for a place under the sun, but now we work together: we are friends, and the sun, so to speak, in Vladivostok, all missing. But problems still remain, and I believe that if we decide to support the candidacy of Igor Sergeyevich, the main thing - do not "speak" these problems and take advantage of a unique opportunity and move from words to action, to reach a new level of relations with the government .
Daria continued Panarin (volunteer movement "We Are Together"):
- One and a half years ago - with my coming to the board - I was able to see how Igor actively working with young people. It is always open for dialogue, for conversation. For many scholarship is considerable support for the mayor for young activists, which is constantly increasing. I can only say that I support his nomination at the primaries of "United Russia".
Gritchenko Roman, Chairman of the coastal branch of the Russian organization "United by student teams," was judicious:
- These important aspects of urban life as utilities or roads can not fix problems in a year or two or three. I have worked with former mayors - support youth organizations was provided in those years, but Pushkaryov it has become much more visible and tangible.
Before you vote "for" or "against", gathered at the "round table" identified vulnerabilities of the city administration - not to turn the decision in showing off for show. By the flaws have been ranked in the lack of systematic work of City Hall and the lack of personnel lifts for young people who want to influence the life of the city today. These observations, it was decided to bring to the mayor in the form of electoral punishment.
As a result, a majority vote of Igor Pushkarev's candidacy was endorsed in the primaries - there were also abstained and voted against it, but they were not much. Sami primaries, recall, will be held from May 15 to 23 in Palo campus.
