Today, April 18 kicks off «Russia Forum» — a key annual business event dedicated to Russia and Moscow has to offer. Forum will open performances Head of Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov and President, Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank of Russia German Gref.
The Forum will begin with a plenary session, «The fault lines — Russia\’s answer to the challenges of the XX century — communism. What to expect in the XXI century?» In the session will be attended by the Prime Minister of Great Britain in the years 1997-2007 Tony Blair, former Czech President Vaclav Klaus, U.S. Secretary of State from 2001-2005 Colin Powell, former Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, Professor of International Economics and Director of the International Centre for Money and Banking Studies Charles Wyplosz, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Richard Pipes of Harvard University, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, St. Petersburg State University Alexei Kudrin. The discussion was moderated German Gref. The event will be broadcast live on the TV channel «Russia 24», as well as on the websites of RIA «Novosti» Sberbank of Russia and the Forum.
On the same day there will be a plenary session «Investing in Russia — which determines the decision of investors today?» The first day of the Forum concluded by the First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
