Energy Summit held in Vladivostok Pacific

In the late spring — from 27 to 30 May — will be held in Vladivostok Asia Pacific Energy Forum ATEF\’2013. As reported by the forum\’s organizing committee, the event is held under the auspices of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Participation in the forum will be more than 250 delegates from 62 countries. Expected to attend the energy ministers of member countries of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). Main thematic line forum ATEF is energy security in Asia and the Pacific.

Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is the largest of the five regional commissions of the United Nations, was established in 1947. Its main activity is to address economic and social problems of the region.

On the eve of the delegation, which included representatives of ESCAP, the Energy Ministry and the Russian Foreign Ministry, the operator of the Forum, paid an inspection trip to Vladivostok. Members of the delegation visited the premises Palo congress on Russian Island, based on which to host forum, saw the hotel complex of the University, had lunch in the student cafeteria.

Also a meeting of the delegation with the first vice-governor Sergei Sidorov, where they discussed the organizational and technical issues of preparation and holding of the event.

Summing up, Sergei Sidorov assured that the city administration will create all the conditions for the event at the highest organizational level.
