Chaired by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Police Lieutenant General Alexander Gorovoy videoconference to the Russian Interior Ministry hosted a meeting of the Commission for the state or any other service of Russian Cossacks.
It was attended by representatives of the Interior Ministry of Russia, the federal and regional authorities, military Cossack associations. They discussed the results of the Commission's activities in the past year, as well as the tasks for 2013.
Alexander Gorovoy noted that the Commission's focus on the implementation of government policy aimed at the revival of the Cossacks, and strengthen its role as an integral part of our society.
Today in Primorye are 15 Cossack communities included in the seaside community Ussuri Cossack Cossack Army of society and in the register of Cossack Communities of Russia, a total of 1274 of the Cossacks.
Cossacks and police together bear patrol service in the streets and in public places, holding joint preventive measures, as well as to detect and deter crime in the environmental field.
In 2012 together with representatives of the Cossack communities police conducted 89 activities to protect public order, including - 32 raid event. Identified 331 administrative offenses, including disorderly conduct and drinking alcohol in public places. With the assistance of representatives of the Cossack communities revealed five crimes, apprehended and brought to the local internal affairs edge 329 offenders.
In order to optimize the management of the Cossack communities MOI of Russia for the Primorye Territory has left the initiative to the management of the Department of internal policy of the regional administration on the development and adoption of the law "On the Cossacks in the Primorsky Territory," which will provide the rules and means of funding to attract Ussuri Cossacks to participate in protection of public order.
